Welcome to Pumping & Hydraulics This category is for honest discussion of vacuum pump and hydro pump techniques — how they work, what they actually achieve, their limitations, and how they compare to permanent options. We believe in honest information here: pumping creates temporary engorgement and can be an enjoyable practice, but does not produce permanent structural change. Men deserve to understand the difference clearly so they can make informed decisions. Example posts are labeled [EXAMPLE Q&A] — your real experience is what makes this community valuable. my wife knows i pump but we never really talked about it. she just notices the difference and doesn't ask questions. it's been a few years now and she's kinda used to it. i think the conversation would be awkward if we ever had it.

Question from someone still early in this journey. If someone gets filler and also pumps — does that cause problems? Do guys with filler still pump? Or does getting filler mean you stop pumping entirely?

I'm trying to do the real math here. A decent pump costs $100-300. Filler procedures cost significantly more upfront. But when you factor in ongoing costs, time investment, and results — what does the actual comparison look like over 3-5 years?

I've been pumping on and off for about 10 years. I'm not here to sell anything or bash pumping — I still do it occasionally. But I want to give the honest long-view perspective for guys who are just starting out and wondering if this is a long-term path.

I see a lot of guys buying oversized cylinders thinking bigger is better. Can someone explain how to actually choose the right cylinder diameter? And what happens if you use one that's too large?

I made the switch from pumping to filler about 6 months ago and I want to share what the transition actually looks like for a long-term pumper. What's different, what to expect, and what surprised me.

Accepting that this is temporary — what techniques actually maximize the temporary girth effect? Pressure levels, session length, water vs air pumps, warm-up routines? Looking for what experienced pumpers actually do, not what the box says.

I want an honest discussion of the actual risks of regular pumping. Not the extreme horror stories but the realistic day-to-day risks of a consistent pumping routine. What should someone know going in?

Been using for over a year and it's been a slow burn. Maybe quarter inch in length over a year.
