How long is the recovery before we can be intimate again?

My partner is planning to have this done and we're both wondering about the timeline for resuming intimacy. How long did you ladies have to wait and was the waiting period difficult? Any practical advice for making that stretch easier on both of you?

Our physician said four weeks before resuming sexual activity. We stuck to it and I'm glad we did — I wanted his results to be the best they could be. It's not forever and it's worth being patient for the outcome.

Typically 3 to 4 weeks depending on the physician and how extensive the procedure was. The time goes faster than you think. Use it to reconnect in other ways. By the time the waiting period was over we were both genuinely looking forward to it.
